Ash Dabbous, MD, is board-certified in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery as well as Obstetrics & Gynecology. In addition, he has been a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2002. He completed his fellowship from Emory University in 2000. Dr. Dabbous specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, addressing issues arising from pelvic floor disorders (PFDs), a condition that impacts women of all ages. He is passionate about providing empathetic, personalized counsel and care for his patients. Dr. Dabbous has performed approximately 2,500 robotic surgeries, ranking him in the top 5 percentile nationally and top 1 percentile statewide in surgical volume for benign robotic gynecological surgeries. He was the first Robotic surgeon in South Texas to be certified in Single-site Gynecologic Robotic Surgery. He has raised the bar for minimally invasive robotic surgery and greatly improves patient results by utilizing state-of-the-art, minimally invasive surgical techniques to produce the best possible patient outcomes. He is the founder of Urogynecology of San Antonio, and also serves as Clinical Faculty at University of Texas Health in the Department of Urology, where he works alongside the residents and fellows. Colleagues in the local medical community regularly seek his consultation on complicated patients, thereby providing thoughtfully tailored care to their patients. Urogynecology of San Antonio was founded on Dr. Dabbous’ principals of coupling individualized patient care with cutting edge and minimally invasive surgical options. He lives in San Antonio with his wife, Dr. Suzanne Dabbous, and their two children, Estee and Maximilian.
