Melanie Thomas, WHNP-BC
An experienced nurse practitioner, Melanie Thomas has been providing experienced, compassionate health care for women since 2007. Having spent eight years in labor and delivery, her knowledge of women’s health care is broad and deep. She is dedicated to providing highly personalized service to each patient, listening carefully to their concerns, answering their questions fully, and providing the most state-of-the-art information and therapies available.
Melanie understands the anxieties and discomfort patients with urogynecological disorders can experience, and she seeks to put each patient at ease while giving them the expert advice and guidance they need to choose a treatment course that is right for them.
Melanie received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1995. She went on to attend The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she received her bachelor of science in nursing in 1998 and her master of science in nursing in 2007. That same year, she became a Certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner and was certified by the Texas Board of Nursing as a Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authorization.
Melanie lives in San Antonio with her husband, who also practices medicine, and their three children.
